Havasu Falls sits on the Havasupai Indian Reservation—which is not part of Grand Canyon National Park— so you'll need to buy a permit from the Havasupai Tribe to access the area. That is if you're among the lucky few able to score a reservation when the season's dates go live on February 1 at 8 a.m. (MST). Havasu Falls is the most famous of the aqua-blue Havasupai Waterfalls that spill over deep-orange, travertine cliffs in a desert oasis of stunning beauty. The stark contrast between the arid desert landscape of the Havasu Canyon and the lush vegetation near the water is a juxtaposition of harsh desert and a sumptuous tropical paradise.
Visiting Havasu Falls is not a day-trip. All visits require at least a one-night reservation, depending on whether you choose to stay at the campground or Havasupai Lodge, aka "the Lodge" in Supai Village. Your price will include your stay, your permit, and any additional taxes and fees.
There’s a large pool that’s about 5ft (1.8m) deep. Havasupai means people of the blue-green waters. Havasu Falls plunges more than 100 feet into a wide pool of clear, bright blue-green water.

Havasu Falls Campground. The campground is located within a 5-minute walk of the beautiful 100-foot Havasu Falls, and is about 2 miles downhill from the Village of Supai. In between the Village and the campground there are two other waterfalls. (See blog post about Havasu Falls and the other waterfalls of Havasupai.) The campground is about ¾ Using the Havasupai helicopters is a great way to visit Havasu Falls without having to hike the 10 miles to the campground.

A refreshing retreat as it is unison between your heart and mind. Though the 10-mile-long hike isn’t a tough nut to crack. If you are a beginner you might find it a bit tiring.

I've read the reviews and will get into that in a bit. 2020-12-14 2020-02-01 Wondering what it's like to hike to Havasupai Falls? Check out this video which shows the 10-mile hike, Havasu Falls, Mooney Falls, Little Navajo Falls and John – Havasu Falls is not accessible from the same area as the south rim and is in fact several hours drive away. I actually haven’t been to the south rim, so I don’t have any recommendations for you just yet, but I’m hoping to get there this year! For Havasu Falls, I think you would want to stay a minimum of 2 nights at the campground. Havasu Falls might just be my favourite spot in the whole of the United States. And given how big and diverse the country is, that’s saying something.
